DNS Made Easy Network Expansion

Reston, VA, February 24, 2022 – Tiggee LLC, parent company of DNS Made Easy and Constellix has announced two major upgrades to its points of presence (PoPs) in Miami, Florida and Seattle, Washington. With this upgrade, the Tiggee network (AS16552) peering capacity surpasses 500 Gpbs, allowing DNS Made Easy and Constellix to continue to provide unrivaled reliability and even faster speeds for their partners.

Additional Peering Capacity for Ultra Fast DNS and Superior Uptime

This latest expansion marks a new Tiggee milestone for the first quarter of 2022. Both Miami and Seattle PoPs were upgraded from 10 Gbps to 100 Gbps and are part of the company’s ongoing commitment to investing in its infrastructure to better meet and exceed the needs of their customers. With an additional 200 Gbps, the Tiggee network has grown to 3,200 peers, a peering capacity of 540 Gbps, and 730+ Gbps transit capacity. On the near horizon is also a planned upgrade for Tiggee’s Ashburn, Virginia location, adding more monitoring points for its Constellix product, and a new PoP in Stockholm, Sweden, which is set to go live by the end of Q2.

“Our PoP upgrades in Miami and Seattle are part of our ongoing mission to provide our customers with the ultimate experience in performance and redundancy. Tiggee is committed to maintaining the largest authoritative DNS network in the world,” says Steven Job, owner and President of DNS Made Easy and Constellix. “All of our deployments are full-site installations that run on our own bare metal server infrastructure. This gives the Tiggee network a competitive advantage over virtual private server (VPS) and outsourced networks utilized by many other providers.”

Why Upgrade Miami and Seattle PoPs?

The decision to upgrade its current PoPs in Miami and Seattle was due in part to customer requests, but also to Tiggee’s ongoing analysis of industry trends. Miami and Seattle data centers are large ecosystems with a global reach and direct connectivity to numerous enterprises, CDNs, and other providers. Both centers support over 1,800 network services and  2,950 Cloud/IT services, as well as a high volume of financial centers and media outlets.

As of 2021, Miami has a population of 478,251 and a GDP of $365 billion (Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach; the state of Florida has more than 21 million people and a GDP of approximately $969 billion. Seattle’s population includes more than 700,000 residents; Washington state encompasses nearly 8 million residents. The state of Washington had a GDP of $544.63 billion in 2020, $378 billion of which comes from the Seattle-Tacoma area. The PoP expansion in these areas will result in huge performance gains and threat protection for businesses in the areas, as well as the global connections within the Seattle and Miami ecosystems.

Preparing for the Future of DNS

Tiggee has the longest uptime history in the industry—12-years and counting—and has consistently delivered superior speeds for organizations around the world for over 20 years. Tiggee’s aggressive infrastructure expansion efforts align with owner Steven Job’s mission to provide a more secure and reliable DNS that is right on the edge.

In addition to the latest upgrades, Tiggee has added four new strategically positioned PoPs since August 2020. Each development decision is made based on real customer needs and feedback, as well as from the analysis of industry trends. Tiggee is dedicated to providing organizations with noticeable performance improvements and highly sophisticated products and services that companies can leverage for ultimate success.
